Where can I check the ver no of my gallery installation

I belive I have 2.3 but my webhotel server insist in 2.1.4

site admin -> Maintenance -> System information; click run now.

Hmm, this is a bit scary for me, should I rely on the Fantastico´s auto update or should I do it manually?
