Images Not Making it to Google Image Search

I'm trying to figure out how to get my images to find their way onto a Google Image search. I've tried a lot of the SEO tricks listed but I'm still not having any luck. Is there something simple that I'm missing?

I hate to bump this but I have found that the only way to get my photos to show up in a Google Image Search is to hotlink them in my Joomla page.
