Notification does not work. But test e-mail does.

I have a new install of Gallery2 and the test e-mail from the admin menu works but the notification modules does not.

I installed and configured it according to the wiki. I have tried it both with and without the e-mail settings filled out in the admin section. Both ways I am able to send the test e-mail.

I have created test users and albums, added the "watch" for item added. Added items and do not receive the alert. My hosting provider does not see the e-mail being sent so it is failing before it completes the script.

Please help, this is a feature unique to gallery and I would love to see it functioning properly.

I have the same issue. Any resolution? The only email I got was when I added a login notification and activated it in the Admin Account settings. But then it only worked for the admin account and not for other users. No add item notification ever worked.
