Cant login to "site admin" after upgrade to 2.3. Session Expired?

Ive just upgraded from 2.2 to 2.3 and then tried to login as the administrator which goes fine but then I try and go into "site admin" and it returns the following error above the login entry page.

"The administration session has expired, please re-authenticate to access the administration area. "

I can access my account settings still though.

Does anyone know how I can fix this?

Thanks

Ive tried changing the theme by using the URL found in the FAQ but when I try that it gives me the error below.

I have the exact same problem. Have you found a solution yet?

I upgraded from 2.2.1 to 2.3 following the instructions in the upgrader...but I got some errors. During the System Check phase I got:

Notice: Undefined offset: 4 in /homepages/39/d203488842/htdocs/gallery2/modules/core/classes/GalleryUtilities.class on line 1250
Notice: Undefined offset: 3 in /homepages/39/d203488842/htdocs/gallery2/modules/core/classes/GalleryUtilities.class on line 1250
Notice: Undefined offset: 2 in /homepages/39/d203488842/htdocs/gallery2/modules/core/classes/GalleryUtilities.class on line 1250
Notice: Undefined offset: 1 in /homepages/39/d203488842/htdocs/gallery2/modules/core/classes/GalleryUtilities.class on line 1250

When I go to that line number it is a loop accessing a manifest...

I also have 1 missing file _NL/LC_MESSAGES/modules_icons.mo

and multiple modified files...

modules/icons/classes/IconsInterface_1_0.class
modules/icons/iconpacks/KSIcons/icons-rtl.css
modules/icons/iconpacks/KSIcons/icons.css
modules/icons/iconpacks/paularmstrongdesigns/icons-rtl.css
modules/icons/iconpacks/paularmstrongdesigns/icons.css
modules/icons/iconpacks/silk/icons-rtl.css
modules/icons/iconpacks/silk/icons.css
modules/icons/module.inc
modules/icons/templates/IconsSiteAdmin.tpl
modules/mime/RestrictMimeOption.inc
modules/mime/classes/MimeHelper.class
modules/mime/module.inc
modules/mime/templates/MimeAdmin.tpl
modules/mime/templates/MimeEdit.tpl

Did you get any errors during the upgrade process??

I had more missing files, the new locale dir at the gallery root, during my first attempt at the upgrader and tried to get as far as I could in the upgrade process. I later hand-copied those files to their destination, but I am wondering if that had something to do with the "core" module not being able to be upgraded.

Did your core module upgrade properly?

With these errors during the upgrade process, I get the same conditions you are seeing. I can login as admin, I can see my albums and photos, but I get the same error message listed above when I try to access the "site admin" link?!

I didnt get any of those errors during the upgrade. The only problem that I has was the server timed out and I re-ran the upgrade procedure and it worked fine. I have subsequently run the upgrade again to see if it will fix things but it hasnt.

Ive still not been able to fix it.

I might just reinstall it.

I re-copied all of my files and re-upgraded and still get errors...

On the same server, in a new directory I installed v2.3 new and everything worked perfectly. Now I am going to try to figure out how to get my old data into the new installation...

Ive just done a reinstall and its working fine again. When Im copying my albums over again Im getting serverl 500 error and having to wait a while till the website responds again but besides that it seams to work now.
Hope you have some luck too.

Still no reply to this thread from any "experts", and I'm just stuck...

Since I can't get to my Site Admin page, I can't do anything anymore. Does anyone know how some hack to get me back into my Site Admin page? I am now locked-out of my own system. I have FTP and cmd level access to my so, so is there any file I can delete/edit/modify to help me here? Maybe something I need to poke into the DB?

Getting desperate...

LifeIsPhun,

It doesn't look like you have the exact same problem as you are complaining about getting errors during the upgrade. That aside, please post your upgrade log file. It should be located in your g2data directory. You may have to zip it to attach to your post.

Which probably means that some file was corrupt or missing when you tried upgrading the first time around.
