Does Gallery2 need a lot of server memory?

I've installed about 11 G2 standard alone on a VPS. One of them have about 5000 pictures. I find they take about 45oM of memory while daily PV is under 500, and IP under 100. Is it normal? I don't think g2 should take so much memory. |

What plugins are you using?
How much traffic do you get?
I have a site with about 2000 images (small compared to others), it's pretty low traffic, about 20 visitors a day. It's running fine with 32MB of memory available for PHP and that's it.

Well, as I saied before IP is under 100 (100 visitors )for all 11 sites. But they take almost 450M memory

What plugins are you using?
How is your database setup? Is it on the same server or it is on a different server?
Since it's a VPS, I doubt you know this, but what about drive config? Disk speed, RAID setup, etc. Is the drive mounted from the network or is it local? Does your database share the same drive as the websites?
What exactly is consuming 450MB of memory? PHP? MySQL? Apache?
Most importantly, what plugins are you using?
