If everything installed successfully at first, then your host changed something. I've ran across hosts that seem to search out directories that are 777 and they just arbitrarily change them without knowing what they are doing or impacting.
But without more information about your setup, there's not much else we can do. Contact your host and send them that message. They need to run a command on their server to either chmod -R 777 all files for g2data or change the ownership so the user the webserver (Apache) or PHP runs as can read, write and execute the files and directories.
