Hi
I am trying to get back to working with the galleries after several months on being unable to concentrate properly, and I seem to have forgotten lots that I used to know. So please excuse if I am missing something very basic.

I have recently regained access to an out-of-date gallery and was able to login on May 9th and access everything.

I tried to login today (May 14th here in NZ) to see about updating but everything in the top line navigation only gets errors, (ie Backward navigation and "login" when I use the correct pw). I tried the password retrieval and the security image was empty so that would not work.)

It is the same whichever of the following I use.
http://www.travelpicsmcc.com/gallery2/v/
or http://www.travelpicsmcc.com/gallery2/ which automatically becomes
http://www.travelpicsmcc.com/gallery2/main.php

errors I get on every page are:-
Warning: ini_set() has been disabled for security reasons in /home/travel/public_html/gallery2/init.inc on line 34

Warning: ini_set() has been disabled for security reasons in /home/travel/public_html/gallery2/init.inc on line 35

When I tried to login or to navigate backwards in the top nav bar, I also got:-
Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /home/travel/public_html/gallery2/init.inc:34) in /home/travel/public_html/gallery2/modules/core/classes/GalleryPhpVm.class on line 124

Also there is now a link for "Export to GE" below every item in the gallery. - yes for public view which it should never be. I have not added that to my gallery at all as i do not have gps.

Fortunately I had copied the systems info when I was logged in there on May 9th.

That's the problem. If you were able to log in a few days ago and can't now, you're host has changed something without notifying you.

Please post a link to phpinfo, this link explains how:
FAQ: What information is required when I ask for help in the forums?

Link to phpinfo.php is

http://www.travelpicsmcc.com/gallery2/phpinfo.php

The instructions also said
> How can I make sure that my installation files are all intact?

Browse to http://www.travelpicsmcc.com/gallery/upgrade/index.php or http://www.travelpicsmcc.com/gallery/install/index.php and advance to the System checks step. <

I tried this and both links could not be found

Try replacing gallery with gallery2 in your URL to access the upgrader to check the file integrity.

But I think I see what might be the problem. You need to set the session.save_path to a location on the server where you can save temporary files. I'd contact your host about where the best place for that would be.

Thanks, Changing that gallery to gallery 2 worked.

This shows how I had not thought enough about replacing the "Example" part in the instructions.
(One of the things I reckon should be explained with more understanding of how the less geeky read instructions.)
