I am getting the "You must have the MySQL PHP module installed " error when the DB is checked during the install process.
It appears the correct php.ini file is loading, I see the path in the PHPInfo page.
I attached a copy of the php.ini for review. "extension=php_mysql.dll" is un-commented.

Gallery version (not just "2"): gallery-2.3-full-en
PHP version (e.g. 5.1.6): PHP Version 5.2.9
PHPInfo Link (see FAQ): attached
Webserver (e.g. Apache 1.3.33): IIS v6.0
Database (e.g. MySql 5.0.32): MySQL 5.0.33
Activated toolkits (e.g. NetPbm, GD): N/A
Operating system (e.g. Linux): Windos 2003 SP2
Browser (e.g. Firefox 2.0): IE 7.0.5730.13
[/size]

Please review and supply any help possible.

Chris

Try restarting your webserver

Looking at phpinfo, PHP does not think MySQL is installed.

The above service announcement concludes my support for Windows ;)

Thank you for the update. Yes I had restarted the server prior to the post.

I will go through the first post step by step. I had used an install of xampp to install mysql and php, if that does not work I will try the versions you have suggested in your post.

I am already setup per the 2nd post.

You said you installed xampp to install MySQL and PHP, but you're using IIS, not Apache. My only experience with xampp is using it for Apache, MySQL and PHP.

Do you have a link that describes the Apache setup, I was working from a link that describes IIS.

Just an fyi, using the directions for Apache / mysql. Install could not have been easier.
The graphics were not working, but I changed the order of use on the graphics converter packages and now it works.

I will look at the next release, I understand there may not be a conversion to move data from this version to the new one.

I also think I saw that it was Linux only.

Do you have a time frame for when it comes out, I may just hold off on populating this one.

The devs are working on a migration path right now

More correctly, Windows is not supported, if it works, it works. If a programmer is willing to take on the responsibility of making sure it works and will support it, that's welcomed, but the current dev team is not going to spend much (if any) time working for it.

It's done when it's done.

Supported configurations - Gallery 3 is supported on Linux / Unix servers, running MySQL 5 and an Apache 2.2 web server with PHP 5.2. Emphasis on supported, not necessarily required. It may well work with MySQL 4.1 on MS Windows as well, but the Gallery team is going to focus its energy on making the best possible product on the supported configurations.
