uploading database

My gallery was erased but I have a backup on my PC as well as the database. The problem lies in that the database is from Gallery 2.0 while the new software is 2.1. The database is also from 2.0. I am up in the air as far as how to go about installing the database. Can I use the database from 2.0 for 2.1. What would you suggest? TIA Tom |

Huh? The most recent version is 2.3
For this to work you need 3 things:
1) The most important part, the g2data directory, this is what has all of the real data, including images. If you don't have this, give up now, it's all been lost
2) The Database
3) Gallery, the same version that matches the versions.dat file in g2data and more importantly the database.
We need to know EXACT versions, to successfully get this running and eventually upgraded to you are on the current version. So 2.0 and 2.1 ain't going to cut it.
