PROBLEM UPDATING MY GALLERY

When I get in my actual picture gallery, I received a page telling me to upgrade to 2.2 version.( why ? I dont know I never make anyting to upgrade it. but it suddently appear yesterday and shut to off my gallery.

so

I follow the steps and I am not able to go further than step 2, at that step I received the following error message :

Error: Some files and or directories in your storage directory are not writeable by the webserver user. Run chown -R webserverUser /mnt/w0607/d05/s25/b026ed6f/www/fr/videos/photos/photos/g2data/ OR run chmod -R 777 /mnt/w0607/d05/s25/b026ed6f/www/fr/videos/photos/photos/g2data/.

I follow that error message and change all my files and folder into ‘’777’’ and I still received the same error message…
Could somebody could help me?
