disable creation date

Hi,
I want to disable creation date for the photos in my album. I don't have the option for this anywhere in my settings...tried matrix and classic themes. I deleted the date tags from templates/photo.tpl and tempates/album.tpl and I think templates/themes.tpl.

Is there anyway to accomplish this?

Clear your cache:

I have cleared the cache an tried looking on a different computer....

Looking at /gallery/themes/matrix/templates/album.tpl that file isn't changed and you don't have one in /gallery/themes/matrix/templates/local/album.tpl

Create /gallery/themes/matrix/templates/local, then copy album.tpl (and photo.tpl) into that local directory

Edit them and change
showDate=true

to
showDate=false

Then clear cache:

Thanks for your speedy reply.

I followed your instructions. I now have /gallery/themes/matrix/templates/local and have album.tpl and photo.tpl in it. I edited showDate=true to showDate=false.. Cleared cache...Still not taking away the date..weird. Any more ideas?

Please make sure you followed the last step of the clearing cache instructions:

Thanks so much for your help! It actually seems to have refreshed itself just as I was going back to it. I'll definitely remember that though! Much appreciated :)
