I've been running Gallery on my site with no problems for over 2 years. I have hosting through GoDaddy with a Linux server. Just the other day, I tried logging in as the admin. I'd type in the admin name, type in the password, and then when I'd click the login button, it would take me back to the screen where it prompts for the username and password. No error messages... it was just in some sort of loop. I am not a newbie when it comes to stuff like this... but it was very aggravating. I tried changing the password. When I typed the new password, same thing. Loop back to the username and pw prompt. After two days of this, and upgrading to version 2.3 (which had same results) I decided to uninstall the whole enchilada, and re-install Gallery. I re-installed (with no apparant problems) and I have the same problem. I've gone into the database using phpMyAdmin and the user table seems okay.. just the guest account and the admin account. On another question for you Gallery gurus, I figured I'd have to re-upload all my pictures (about 1000) but when I look at my hosting file manager... all the old albums are still in the gallery subdirectory. Once I get this login problem fixed, will I be able to get it to recognize all the old albums and pictures? thanks in advance www.nerdsfromhell.com (NSFW) |

Post link to phpinfo, this link explains how:
FAQ: What information is required when I ask for help in the forums?
If you started over from scratch with a new database, no. You can import those into a new install of Gallery and a fresh g2data directory, but you cannot re-use that g2data directory if you are not using the old database.
btw, added a NSFW tag to your link. I won't be able to check your site until I get home tonight.
