thumbnails trouble

Hi

I cannot seem to get thumbnails working at all gallery v2.3

I upload my image to an album, and have no thumbnails just a default image file type pic as the thumbnail, where i want the photo as the thumbnail

have tried loads of things but still no good , please can anyone assist me.
