I have just installed gallery 2 via fantastico on hostgator.... install looks fine but thumbnails don't seem to work for some reason
Previously I have run coppermine successfully and had no trouble with thumbnails with ImageMagick and that package.
Tried the imagemagick test .. and it passed ok.

Go to Site Admin > Plugins
Uninstall Dcraw, Exif, Ffmpeg, Getid3, jpegtran, NetPBM, GD
Go to Site Admin > ImageMagick
Click Test. does everything pass?
