Continued development for Gallery 2?

after using gallery3, i switched back to gallery2. since i use my gallery for my own personal use, i like having all the advanced features. If it were for available to the public, i agree the simpler and flashier gallery3 is better. But for me, i like the functionality and utilitarian features of gallery2.

is gallery2 going to be considered a separate product and continue to be developed? or once gallery3 is out of beta, gallery2 will be dead at 2.3?

im pulling for the former. gallery2 rules.

There are no new planned releases for G2. All development efforts by the core team are going to be focused on G3.

I agree G2 rules, and I for one still tinker and create for G2 :)

G3 is fine, but not yet ready for power users.
