Heya, The title says it all. Compare what happens when you press the Play button between these two albums. For me, the first one works, but the second one doesn't. Any clues? http://www.facetube.nl/index.php/BBQ I've been trying this in Firefox 3.5.2 with CoolIris 1.11.1. I can't figure out why the second one doesn't work. Any tips? Or is this a genuine bug? |

I have a suspicion, try renaming that "problem" album to something that doesn't have an & sign in the name. For now try changing both the album and directory name.

This one? http://www.facetube.nl/index.php/Vakantie_Turkije_Margreet_&_Walter I get "This feed has no items" and if I click on the RSS feed on that page it's essentially blank, has no content for the items, just the skeleton of an RSS page

Click the "view this in 3D" button. That activates CoolIris. I think what's visible on your screenshot is the standard slideshow.

Renaming the album worked; the & is removed and the slideshow in CoolIris works.

Yeah, I'll be filing a bug on that. The RSS feed that's generated doesn't properly handle the & by making it & in the RSS page. That's why it was failing for me.
Dave, what version of FF are you using?

Oh the 3d version.
added a comment to https://sourceforge.net/apps/trac/gallery/ticket/569 a similar issue.
We might be moving away from cooliris with the number of open tickets and the lack of response.
See ticket https://sourceforge.net/apps/trac/gallery/ticket/23

Ah, perfect. I don't need to submit a bug then
It appears we're not sticking to standards when creating the RSS feed, so every client I've check chokes on the &, but I'm not sure what it's doing with the accented characters.
But I believe Bharat still wants a slideshow that reads from our media rss feed, which is one of the reasons Cooliris was picked if I remember reading that conversation in irc correctly. So it would still be important for the rss feed to be generated correctly.

Hi all, I'm unsure if my slideshow link is cooliris related, or happened after my G2 Import, but basically all Slideshow links don't seem to do anything for me in FF3. If you drill down to an item cooliris does work though.
This is the latest git from this morning.
