Hello guys !
I just uploaded to the Android Market G2Android v1.2.0, a Gallery2 client for the Android platform !
It is named G2Android, and it is an open source project (GPL v2), the project page is :
http://code.google.com/p/g2android/

For now the supported features are :

  • New feature : add photos to the gallery
  • New feature : create new subalbums
  • login into the gallery using your username/password, solving issue #1
  • New screen activity added : FirstTime, to explain the user what this project is about
  • connection to the remote gallery2 of your choice
  • browsing albums using a basic ListView
  • browsing pictures using Gallery and ImageSwitcher

The next features will be creating an album, and uploading photos to it !
If you have any requests or issues using G2Android, feel free to contact me, using Issues tab in http://code.google.com/p/g2android/

Have fun !
Anthony

You can now download the last G2Android update, version 1.2.1.
What’s new ?

* No more automatic connection at startup, the user has to push a button to connect to the gallery

* Galleries with port different than 80 now work

* I18n : the app now provide new languages, today only english and french are supported, I’m expecting the community to provide new translations

That’s all folks, expect better UIs and possibility to download pictures from the gallery to the phone soon.
Have fun browsing your galleries !
