Main site Login and Password

I have a link on my website that takes my members to our Gallery. When they use that link my site's login and password feature for access to the Gallery works. If they go directly to the Gallery, and do not use my site link, then there is no security on the main page of the Gallery. They all have logins and paswords for their albums, so that works fine. How do I get the main page to prompt for a login and password? I want our Gallery to be private. Is there an easy fix for this? I know just enough about what I'm doing to get me this far. I'm not an expert on security issues. Any help is appreciated. Thanks! |

A URL would be tremendously helpful here.
You can edit permissions in Gallery but from what you're describing I'm not following you.

Got your PM. Your entire site is password protected so not much to see...
In your Gallery, on the main page just click on Edit Permissions and make sure Everybody is not assigned to view anything and Registered users can View the items you want
View Item = Thumbs
View Resizes = Resized (only, should also have View Item to make this useful)
View Original = Original (only, should also have View Item to make this useful)
View All Versions = View them all

Thank you so much for your help! I removed all of the permissions for Everybody and added permissions for Registered Users. That seems to have resolved my issue. Thanks again.
