One of the things I like to do with my pics is post them on forums. I found and installed the Formatted URLs plugin, which gives me BBCode links to my images, but they're not to the actual images. They link to the dynamically generated version (main.php?g2_itemId=1234) rather than the actual jpeg. Many forums do not allow dynamic links in [IMG] tags, so I was wondering how hard it would be to add a BBCode link to the actual image (like http://domain.com/gallery/g2data/albums/album_name/image.jpg) instead. This (for me) would be a lot more useful than the link to the dynamic code. |

Ok, I accidentally found the solution while browsing this thread. The URL rewrite plugin fixes BBCode in the Formatted URLs plugin to provide a link to the actual file. Awesome!

The previous information on url rewrite worked for me on apache/drupal6/G2
Note: when testing prod box, be sure to change local dev box hosts file to point to proper dns instead of local. D0h !!
Great gallery, work terrific with Drupal 6. Can't wait to see what comes out in the next iterations.
