Hi!

I have searched for an answer to my question but I have not found it yet, I am sorry if this question has already been solved.

My question is simple: I used to have a Coppermine gallery and I would like to change for this system, which seems more securized. Is it possible? If yes, what are the different steps? Thank you.

Well I guess the first step is to install G2 and get comfortable with it.
Then there is 2 modules/threads:

I have read the two topics, and if I have well understood, the Coppermine gallery is supposed to exist on the server before moving to Gallery 2.

I have had a virus a few months ago, which obliged me to supress everything on my server. Thus, I have saved the gallery on my computer but it is not on my server anylonger. Is it still possible to move to Gallery 2 even though all my gallery is on a USB key? Thank you

(and sorry for my English, I am French :s)

Not sure. Never used it. Does copermine have a Database with meta data? Then I suspect that the module will use the data from that DB to import to G2. If you are only concerned about images then you could use the "from local server" method.
