How to export data from Gallery?

Hi,

I've got a bunch of useful data in a gallery I don't use any more, captions and a folder hierarchy and stuff. I'd like to extract out that metadata so I can move it to the EXIF section of the photos themselves.

So how do you export data from gallery? I'm thinking some kind of XML dump would do the job, I can work with that. Or CSV at a pinch. Or the download zip file thing would be enough, if only it stuck the captions in the EXIF data of the photos.

Any suggestions? That don't involve writing PHP?

Anything is going to be a ton of work. Can you post your system info so we can get an idea of what we're dealing with first? This link explains how:

OK, looks like there's no way to do this, and I'm not going to invest a lot of time building one. I'll leave it.
