Everyone hears this same preach over and over again. I was unfortunately one of those who lost my work in the blink of an eye and had to start over from scratch. I tried the install from backup from my host and all I got were a fraction of the files I once had there. So, of course the logical action to take is how to back up my files to my own drives to make sure I don't go through that same ache again. Use winSCP. This is freeware that you can use to create a connection between your web files and your hard drive that simulates windows explorer simplicity in drag and drop of files. There are multiple programs out there I'm sure, but this is the one that was recommended to me. Do this every so often to make sure you don't lose the most important files to your gallery, you gallery data files. Just keep in mind that you may require multiple gigs of hard drive space for this backup. If you aren't sure how to set this up you can ask me or email my buddy David at sterryIT.com. or check with you favorite IT pro who is savvy with web type protocols.

Absolutely. If I may please sir, while I have your attention. I've noticed with my latest Gallery installment, that when I log in as admin a new album is created and I would like to discontinue this action. How do I accomplish this?
