A client of mine is a professional video editor who does a lot of broadcast & cable stuff. He wants me to build him a website that showcases his "reel", which consists of QuickTime video clips of projects he's edited.
I want to build the site using some flavor of open-source CMS so that he can easily add more clips to his site in the future. I was wondering if I could use G2 for this? The thing I like best about Gallery is that once you've got your theme and settings all fine-tuned, you can just make a new album, upload new photos with Gallery Remote and Voila! - a sweet new page is instantly produced without having to do any development! I want to use the same methodology for managing "albums" of QuickTime clips.
If G2 is not suitable for this task, does anyone know if Drupal or Joomla are?
I wasn't quite sure which forum was appropriate for this query, so I hope this is okay.

QT files are supported in G2.

Is there any documentation on how to add QT files to an album?
Thanks!

Just add them as you would any other format.

I've added a few movies to my G2 gallery (2.2.5). The addition seems to work in the sense that I can retrieve them later for viewing, however, how do I get the action of clicking on a movie icon to result in playing immediately w/o having to click "Download movie"? Please see screen capture.

Edit Movie->Movie Dimensions add your height/width
or configure ffmpeg to detect them for you.
Consider upgrading to the latest release 2.3
