Stripped down gallery/no thumbnails

Hello, I've just started work on a project to make a really simple portfolio using gallery. It's the first time I've used gallery so I'm still getting to grips with things. Basically, I'm aiming for a layout pretty similar to the portfolio on this site: http://www.nicholashaggard.com/a.php I've started by just stripping things out of the classic theme to get it down to a bare minimum then I plan to use Album Select for the menu on the left. However, I don't want any thumbnails. When the site loads I want the first picture of the first album to show, then be able to click through each picture from that album. Likewise, when you click on a different album from the left menu, it goes straight into the first picture of that album. Can anyone advise how I could do this, if it's possible at all? Any other pointers would be much appreciated, I'll keep you posted of my progress. I'm afraid I don't have anything live as of yet so I can't show you exactly where I've got to. Cheers, Peter |

I'd take a look at the Carbon theme as well as these threads. NOTE: these are old threads and the changes may (probably won't) work without modification to the current code base:
