Remote protocol and user names - doesn't seem to work

Does anyone have experience with remote access protocol? Remote uploading of photos?

I have an authentication issue and I cannot seem to find anyone who knows anything about it or how to fix it.

If I use the main admin name and password, I can authenticate and upload photos. However, I cannot get any of the user names to authenticate, no matter what I change on the user's account settings.

This is maddening! I do not want to give users the admin name and password to the server for very obvious reasons. But I cannot have all remote users who want to upload use the Admin account. Every other account just errors with:

"Unable to log into service. Please check username and password."

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.
