Just loaded G3B3 but this may happen in previous versions.
I had an additional 700 pictures to upload, so I accumulated them into a folder on drive D: of the server (D:\Apr 2007) and permitted it as a valid upload folder.
I then (as admin) added a new album with the name 'Apr 2007'
I then went to Server Add, selected D:/Apr 2007 and clicked the Add button. All seemed to be running fine.
But after, I looked at the home page with the albums listed and saw there were two with the identical name of Apr 2007. Only one of them contained the pictures. Apparently that one was created with a dynamically selected folder in the vars directory by the name of Apr-2007-19538. I would have thought that it would just use the existing album rather than creating a new one. This has implications on using the Server Add to add additional pics into an existing album.
Also, how do I delete that duplicate album entry?

As far as removing the unwanted album, I did the following:
1)Removed the three folders inside the var directory
2) Found and deleted the entry representing the album in the items table.
Hope this doesn't leave any 'stragglers'.

When you create an album with a duplicate name, we add a random number at the end. So you did the right thing by deleting the corresponding album via the web interface.

If you select the "Server Add" menu option from inside an existing album, you should be able to import pictures into that album instead of having Server Add create a new album (you might need to select the pictures individually instead of the folder on the Server add screen, I'm not sure off the top of my head though).
