In G2 you could change the owner of and album/image if you wanted to clean up the structure of a gallery at any given point. Was it decided to remove this ability from G3?
It use to reside in Permissions.
Thanks,
Jase.

Well as you can tell 'lots' of rarely used features of G2 have gone. This is one of them. I Did not know it existed until you pointed it out.
It is possible to write a module to be able to accomplish this, but is not even on the radar for the core team to develop.
If the ownership of an album is changed, would that automatically apply to all pictures currently in that album, and what about pictures moved into that album later on (or moved out)?
(Edited after reponse below)
I think that there needs to be gallery wide options to be set by the admin as to whether or not ownership changes are replicated for both situations (or more??)

Now you know why a simple little 'owner' thing adds so much complexity to the application.
I added a link to your comment to the ticket.

The user that adds the alabum/item is the owner.

No worries. That's cool. Just wanted to make sure I wasn't just missing something.

Just as a point of interest -
