I am back in love with this software with all the changes in Gallery3, so thanks to everyone involved..
anyway grovel over
Is there anyway to compress photos when using the "server add" option? I use a web host to keep a backup of my photos and each one can we 4mb, which is too large and slow for a gallery. Or do I have to compress them manually then upload to the gallery?
cheers

Personally, I resize before uploading, simply because it's easier and faster to import
Right now there is no "size limit" module for G3, like there is for G2. So the full size image gets imported, then resizes and thumbs are built. So now that I'm "talking this out" right now yeah, you'll need to resize before uploading.
I don't know what you us, but I use irfanview for batch resizing. It's interface is a bit quirky, but it's fast.
