User/Groups options in G3

Hi,

in G2 I could do something like this

- Main album (public view)
- XYZ albums (public view)
- User albums (registerd users - view only)
- Group A (registerd users - only view for GROUP A users)
- Album AA (only view for GROUP A users - more options for single USER AA only)
- Album BB (only view for GROUP A users - more options for single USER BB only)
- Group B (registerd users - only view for GROUP B users)
- Album AA (only view for GROUP B users - more options for single USER CC only)
- Album BB (only view for GROUP B users - more options for single USER DD only)

This is done in G2 manualy by siteadmin but because it's not to much users I did not yet took the time to see if I could change the user module or create own module for it now because so far I can live with it and time to create would be much more I guess but this is working perfect for my need in G2 out of the box.

However I am looking over and over again in G3 but so far it seems I can not do this any longer in G3 release (I am looking at the G3B3 release currently) Or am I just missing something here? It looks to me bunch of user/group functionality is gone in G3 at this moment?

In G3 the permission system has been simplified. You can only assign permissions to groups and to albums.

So for user AA, you'd need to create a group and put that user in that group, then assign the permissions you want on an album to that group.

Also, if a parent is hidden, the children (sub-albums) must also be hidden. But you can have a parent that's visible yet hide a child (sub-album)
