After upgrading from g3b2 to g3b3 i can sometimes see the following login screen:
There's no Login Button, but this Add Tag Button...After closing the popup window and reopening the login dialog everything is fine. When logged in as admin and clicking any item in the menubar (e.g Dashboard) i will see the "Dang - something went wrong!"-page. The Gallery itself is still working -> http://www.luftbildner.de/gallery3 Any ideas what's going on there? Thanks, |

Never seen this behavior before.
Does it happen if no translations are applied?
Same behavior in different Browsers?
Same behavior in the Latest Experimental version?
FAQ: How do I upgrade?

Problem solved (sort of...): It really only happens with Safari 4.0.3 (Mac OS X 10.5.8) on my iMac. With Firefox no problems. On my MacBook i've already installed 10.6.1 with the same Safari version (4.0.3) - everything okay there. It seems not to be a Browsercache issue - after clearing the Browsercache i can see the same strange behavior.
Thanks for the help,
Dieter

Only a few members of the team have Macs so this might be hard to find and fix.
Please file a ticket https://sourceforge.net/apps/trac/gallery/newticket for us to track. I think there is a couple of Safari issues in the bug tracker but I don't think that this one is one of them.

I definitely just ran into this with Google Chrome / Windows / Gallery 3 Beta 3.

Steps for reproducing:
- Log in as an administrator.
- Go to an album or photo page and click log out, then immediately click on something under the admin menu (like the dashboard or modules) before the page has a chance to refresh.
- At this point you should get directed to a "Dang..." screen.
- Click on the back button in the web browser, and click login. The prompt should now be messed up, as illustrated in the picture above.
I've been able to reproduce this with both Beta 3 and git using Google Chrome and Safari 4.0.3. I was unable to reproduce this under Internet Explorer or Firefox.
Accessing the Dang screen by logging in as an admin, opening up two tabs, logging out in one tab and then clicking into the admin screen on the other tab (thus getting to the Dang screen where you can hit back and then hit log in) also seems to cause this bit of weirdness to happen.
