Hi there,
I'm trying to install gallery2 in my new hosting. I must say that I've successfully install it in several other places but not this time. I get the following error:
I think the problem comes from Step3 where I get:
Quote:
exec() allowed
Warning
Warning: The exec() function is disabled in your PHP by the disabled_functions parameter in php.ini. You won't be able to use modules that require external binaries (e.g. ImageMagick, NetPBM or Ffmpeg). This can only be set server-wide, so you will need to change it in the global php.ini.
set_time_limit() allowed
Warning
Warning: The set_time_limit() function is disabled in your PHP by the disabled_functions parameter in php.ini. Gallery can function with this setting, but it will not operate reliably. Any operation that takes longer than 300 seconds will fail (and in some cases just return a blank page) possibly leading to data corruption.
Please find bellow the installation log. Any ideas how can I fix the problem?
Thank you very much in advance for your time and help
Luis
Core module is only partially installed.
Error installing Gallery Core
Something went wrong when we tried to install the core module. What to do next?
Go to the System Checks step of the installer and make sure all checks shows 'Success'. A common issue is that the file integrity warning is ignored.
If there are no warnings or failures in the System Checks step, empty your storage directory and delete the database tables and start the installation process a second time (redo all steps).
Please visit the G2 FAQ and read the Known issues section of the Readme.
If the problem persists, please copy the installation log which is located at /home/www/33090361e401a6374d915b0f47bad2bb/web/data/g2data_2344432//install_e5dbc8164a.log and attach it (as install.log.zip) to a new forum topic in the G2 support forum or, if possible, just add a link to the install.log in the forum topic such that the support staff can analyze it if necessary.

My advice, find a different host. I don't know who you are using (I'm suspecting some sort of free host to begin with) but you're going to have a heck of a time getting an application like Gallery working reliably and well in such a restrictive environment.

No, it's not a Free host. It's the biggest one in Switzerland!

My advice still stands. I don't see any errors as to why the install is failing. It just is. Perhaps the connection to the database is open to long or to many are created and it just crashes the install. I don't know. That is an extremely, very overly restrictive environment.
