Hello, I have been experiencing connection resets for my G2.3 installation. It occurs when viewing photos normally, browsing, and at times when I'm adding from Local Server. I have sizes ranging from 2MB to 11MB (2 MP to 15 MP). I enabled the resize plugin for max image size to be 1024x1024. Sometimes I can add ~100 photos, other times I have to do 10-20 at a time. I have checked my phpinfo and it appears max size limits are high enough. Here is my current G2 Specs. Quote:
Gallery URL = http://www.molimbocafe.com/gallery2/main.php Basically, I'm looking for the proper expectations of my G2 usage relative to my shared server environment. I know G2 is a pretty big glut, however, it's acceptable given its features. I hope my solicitation makes sense. And yes, I have put in a support ticket regarding this w/ my host. There was no immediate identification of the issue, thus logs are going to be looked at and when I experience a timeout again, I'll submit again for some correlation. It is thought that maybe Lightspeed as an issue. I thought I'd ask here what people might say I need to keep in mind in terms of configuration and such for subject hosting setup. Thanks in advance and don't hesitate to ask for more information. |

Yes
Possibly, I never even heard of that web server until someone else was having an issue with Gallery3. That is quite likely the source of your other issue

I've never had problems uploading 100s of images on my shared host, but I'd also NEVER upload images that large in large quantities. On a shared host, since you are sharing resources, I always my images before uploading if I'm uploading a lot of images. And since you are having Gallery do that, why not reduce the work load on the server and do that before uploading? I use Irfanview to batch resize images. There's many other programs for doing just that.
If you are sometimes able to upload ~100 photos and sometimes 10-20, I'd say you're hitting server resource limits and the script is being killed.
