Summary and Description from the base filename not working

Hi,

I am currently using version 2.3 on Joomla 1.0.x. when I upload the images and select the summary and description to be inserted from the base filename it doesn't work. Can someone please help.

I am using matrix as a theme and trying to upload from my pc.
