Whenever I try to open my photo gallery the upgrade screen appears.
I can proceed ok until step 3 [check settings] all receive green satisfactories except one (See below)
Storage Directory Permissions Failed
Error: Some files and or directories in your storage directory are not writeable by the webserver user. Run chown -R webserverUser /home125b/sub008/sc69911-POKH/shedwest.com.au//gallery1/gData/ OR run chmod -R 777 /home125b/sub008/sc69911-POKH/shedwest.com.au//gallery1/gData/.
I have no idea what this means or how to fix it. Can somebody help me please ?

You need to change the permissions on your gData directory to 777. Use your FTP program or your host's control panel to change permissions or ask your host to change permissions.

Basically, the permissions need to be set so that the web server can write to that directory.
FAQ: I get a ERROR_PLATFORM_FAILURE, what should I do?

You're going to need to talk to your host and ask them what you need to do to make a directory writable by the webserver.
