[SOLVED] Album / Item Summary URL, Link not shown

Hello,

I think I have a very strange problem after changing the Server:

Everything is working fine except ALL URL's in the album's and item's summery.
Under the pictures title appears only something like:

Text

That's the right syntax i guess, but should be a link to the site, not just the plain text.

Any idea what could be the problem? I also tried to update, delete and add new links, nothing works correctly.

PHP version = 5.2.6-1+lenny3 apache2handler

Try going to Site Admin > General and making sure that you're using BBCODE instead of Raw HTML.

IMPORTANT: that's an ancient version of Gallery with known security issues.

FAQ: How to upgrade Gallery2?

From that old of a version you'll need to upgrade to 2.1 first, maybe you can get away with upgrading to 2.2 first, but I'm not sure. Sourceforge got messed up and doesn't have 2.1 available for download anymore, but I've zipped up an export from SVN and you can get 2.1 here:
www.kevinnehls.com/temp/gallery2.1.zip (warning, that's a full, all languages install so it may have more stuff than what you have by default)

Many thanks for your reply. BBCODE is already allowed, like on the old system. And it still works on the theme (greypop / "navigation menu") itself.

Thank you for the link, I have it now and I'll make the upgrade during the next days.

I know, that this is an older version. But it worked so long on the old machine, why shouldn't it on the new one?

Any suggestions?

I'm not sure. Try switching from BBCODE to something else and see if that helps.

So on the new system it works in some places?

Good idea, but no change.

Yes, it does work in some places but not on the albums.

I can remeber, that there was something to fix on one of the template I guess (like the "_blank" issue) but I don't know what and where exactly.

I hope somebody will remeber. I'll also go on searching.

On more thing to try. Try switching to the default Matrix theme and see if it works. If it does then it's something with that theme you're using or some modification.
