Hello All, May be its already somewhere on the forum, but i seem not able to find it. I installed a fresh version of Gallery 3 Beta. On my servr i have a nice folder tree with my photo's and wanted to import them using Server Add. When it starts it finds al 3000 photo's without any problem but the import stops after the first photo. Is there a workarround or bugfix for this Rene |

Try upgrading to the latest experimental version:

1) I checked out Gallery3 with "git clone git://github.com/gallery/gallery3.git
". My strategy was to perform a "git pull" when I want the latest code. Given that how do I update to the experimental version.
2) Also I found the GIT information "http://codex.gallery2.org/Gallery:Using_Git" by goggle search. There appears to be no link to this page from Gallery3 developer webpage so I did not know GIT existed.
3) I found a FAQ "How do I add the Development module" which said how to stay updated by creating a simlink. What is the Development module as it is not listed with the other Gallery modules? What modules are kept in the gallery3-contrib repository?
Thanks,

Everything in contrib is listed here (themes and modules)

Oh wait, something you said just rang a bell with me. Are you using default permissions or have you restricted (removed) the view permissions for the Everybody group?
There's a bug right now with having the Internet Address and the file or directory name not match if you're forcing every request through the file_proxy (only happens if you remove view for Everybody).

FAQ: How do I upgrade?
@2, git info: There is a link to git on this page: http://codex.gallery2.org/Gallery3
It is a work in progress. Where would you like the link to be. The codex is for users by users, so you can edit that codex if you find something that is out of place or does not seem right.
@3, development module. When I get time I will create a codex page for it, but it might take some time as there is other pressing issues. Unless you find some time.
