Gallery on two servers ?

Hi, I have a question: is it possible to have Gallery installed on one server and have the data directory with the photo's on another server ? Has anybody experience with this ? The reason for my question is that we have a VPS where fantastico, backup etc. is arranged, but disk space is limited. So we would like to install Gallery on a host on our VPS, but have the photo's on another host with lot's of disk space! thanks for any help! |

If the servers were on the same network you could, in theory, mount the remote drive without problems. Different hosts though? Nope.
There are some people who have gotten it to work with Amazon's S3 service and mounting that space as a local directory.
