Your experience may differ depending on what kind of videos and/or server you have. But for me to add a video, I first need to FTP it to my server. Then I go to the Gallery2 album I wish to add the video to, click ADD ITEMS, and then choose the FROM LOCAL SERVER tab. You'll likely need to click MODIFY next to LEGAL DIRECTORIES and add the location you FTP'd your video file to. Once the correct server path is input, click FIND FILES to display a list of files that can be added. Click the checkbox next to your video file, and then click ADD FILES at the bottom.
Depending on what kind of video file it is and what version (if any) of FFMPEG you have installed on your server, you MIGHT need to do one or both of the following:
-Create your own thumbnail (do a printscreen of the video while you're playing it from the hard drive of your computer and paste/save it as a JPEG through an image editing program like Paint or Photoshop, then click EDIT MOVIE while on the video's page in Gallery2 and choose the CUSTOM THUMBNAIL option at the bottom of the edit page)
-Tell gallery the dimensions of the video file (click EDIT MOVIE while on the video's page in Gallery2 and choose the MOVIE SIZE tab at the top of the page)
