Hi,
I have now installed Gallery 2 but am having trouble "getting more plugins".
Following Site Admin > Plugins > Get More Plugins, I get this page:
---
Configure your Gallery
Before you can proceed, you have to change some permissions so that Gallery can install plugins for you. It's easy. Just execute the following in a shell or via your ftp client:
cd /services/websiteos/gallery2
chmod -R 777 modules
chmod -R 777 themes
---
I can't locate a folder "/services/websiteos/gallery2". I do have a folder called "themes" in /public/g2, and have set this to 777. There is no "modules" folder anywhere.
(There is also a folder /public/gallery2 but this contains nothing, leftover from a previous installation attempt which didn't work).
I'm afraid I don't have "shell access" and the above is at the end of my limited technical abilities!
I would really appreciate some help as I have been struggling quite a bit to get to this stage & would love to have my G2 up and running so I can start transferring/importing albums from my Gallery 1 installation.

This sounds like a multi-site install or your host has configured G2 like that.
The modules directory is most likely located at /services/websiteos/gallery2 since that's where Gallery thinks it is. If that's the case and Gallery is really a multi-site install (though I thought even themes has to be under the main install for that) then you probably can't add additional modules. You'll need to contact your host to see what they've done or install Gallery yourself and not though your host's control panel so that you have the full program.
