Hi to all. When an user insert a picture on my Gallery, we see a broken window, but if you click on it you can see the picture. Can you help me? (here you can understand me: http://galleria.xcodeitalia.org - is not spam, but only for better understanding). Tks. |

First post your system information and a link to phpinfo. This link explains how to do both:
FAQ: What information is required when I ask for help in the forums?
Second, your Matrix theme (and possibly other stuff) is not up to date:
I checked the version of your Matrix theme against what's current for G2 2.3 and yours is 1.1.4 and the current version is 1.1.6, but you may have some other templates that our outdated as well.
I'd overwrite all of your modifications with a fresh download of 2.3 and then reapply the changes you made for the header image. Be sure to read this on editing templates:

hi support,
i'm also a new Gallery2 user. i have figured out how to make an album, add items, and move items into the album. but, i can't get thumbnails to work. i've tried going the maintenance area to clear the cache but that hasn't helped.
here is the information you need to help me troubleshoot:
1. url to my gallery:
http://67.15.211.2/~melodeer/gallery2/main.php
2. my Gallery2 system details:
Get system details; useful for copy/paste into G2 support forum. Last Run Details: Gallery URL = http://67.15.211.2/~melodeer/gallery2/main.php Gallery version = 2.3 core 1.3.0 API = Core 7.54, Module 3.9, Theme 2.6, Embed 1.5 PHP version = 5.2.9 cgi Webserver = Apache/1.3.41 (Unix) mod_auth_passthrough/1.8 mod_log_bytes/1.2 mod_bwlimited/1.4 FrontPage/5.0.2.2635.SR1.2 mod_ssl/2.8.31 OpenSSL/0.9.8b PHP-CGI/0.5 Database = mysqlt 5.0.77mm0.1-log, lock.system=flock Toolkits = ArchiveUpload, Dcraw, Exif, Ffmpeg, Getid3, ImageMagick, jpegtran, LinkItemToolkit, NetPBM, SquareThumb, Thumbnail, Gd Acceleration = none, none Operating system = Linux serv01.siteground164.com 2.6.28.5-grsec-sg2 #6 SMP Fri Feb 20 02:45:11 CST 2009 i686 Default theme = melodeers gettext = enabled Locale = en_US Browser = Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.0.11) Gecko/2009060215 Firefox/3.0.11 (.NET CLR 3.5.30729) Rows in GalleryAccessMap table = 33 Rows in GalleryAccessSubscriberMap table = 5 Rows in GalleryUser table = 2 Rows in GalleryItem table = 3 Rows in GalleryAlbumItem table = 2 Rows in GalleryCacheMap table = 0
3. my phpinfo.php file:

Let's simplify a few things first:
Login and go to Site Admin > Plugins, then uninstall the following
ArchiveUpload
Dcraw
Exif
Ffmpeg
Getid3
jpegtran
LinkItemToolkit
NetPBM
SquareThumb
Thumbnail
Gd
Now for image toolkits you should only have ImageMagick installed. Go to Site Admin > ImageMagick and click Test Settings. Does it pass everything?

hi nivekiam,
1. i've uninstalled all of the above plugins EXCEPT ArchiveUpload and LinkItemToolkit as i could not find these items anywhere on the page (i used the FIND function in Firefox to try to locate these)
2. i went to ImageMagik and ran the test: all passed.
ImageMagick binary test results
Binary Name Pass/Fail
identify
Passed
convert
Passed
composite
Passed
What next?
thanks again for your support,
jan w.

Great! Now you can go through an re-install any plugins you want to use. But as for the actual image toolkits (ImageMagick, NetPBM, GD) only leave ImageMagick installed. Do not install NetPBM and GD. There is no benefit to that.
If you install Square Thumb and jpegtran and have problems and really want square thumbnails, then uninstall jpegtran.
