After a update to IE8 alle gallery users are no longer able to login from a specific XP account.
When tried from an other XP account, login is successful.
I tried all sort of things.
Emptied the IE cache. Set IE security to low.
But nothing seems to work.
When using FF from this XP account, there are no problems.

So its clear this is a XP/IE8 issue.

Suggestions needed.

I'm betting it's that IE8 is one of Microsoft's first forays into actually trying to make a secure browser and that your cert is self-signed.

Quote:
www.fam-zonneveld.nl uses an invalid security certificate.

The certificate is not trusted because the issuer certificate is unknown.

Looks like you're using a self-signed cert. Have you tried adding that cert to IE8? I don't have IE8 in front to test.

Yes I know that, any idea how much a certified certificate cost?. To much for me.
This must not be a problem, you can ignore that message. But to be sure I already added it to be a trusted certificate, it makes no difference.

If you PM me login details I can take a look at it when I have IE8 available to me.

I doubt that it make sense.
Cause all the other XP accounts, with IE8, on this machine or any other, have no problems.
It's related to something on this XP account. When I reset to IE default, on the problem account, no change.
Reset to IE defaults on any other account, no problem login in with gallery. It seems to be related to something in the IE cache, and it's not cleared when I clear he cache??

I found the solution.
In XP settings. Open Internet Settings. Tab Advanced.
Reset "Advanced Settings".
In "Reset Internet Explorer Settings", click Reset.

After IE8 starts, it will ask again witch settings you want.
Now gallery user is able to login again.

So clearing the cache from the IE8 browser is not enough.

Thanks all for your support.
