As my area of expertise isn't webservers at all, please tell me if there's further information you need.... I have tried several times to follow the instructions on this page: Also, in "restoring from a full backup" where it says: I really would like it to work through CPanel as that means that I can have a really simple maintenance (upgrade etc. - just two clicks). So I tried to: Then I got You tried to run the upgrade process but a valid config.php is missing. " and "Go to the Gallery 2 Installer " And I guess that might be that it's mismatching versions? But on the other hand, does CPanel know about this if I just replace the folder? Some info from the web hotel: Operativsystem Linux Gallery verrsion: All help appriciated! |

First let's start off with ignoring the whole cPanel mess and not use it to install, upgrade, etc Gallery.
Second, what are you trying to do? Did you have gallery installed and you're trying to upgrade?

Sorry, I'll try to be clearer.....
I'm trying to install an old backup.
Once I had problems at the web hotel; the gallery went corrupt during an upgrade (the account was full of backups; no place left).
So I trie to make a new install of Gallery (the old one since long gone)and install an old gallery backup of our wedding photos on it.
