Fullscreen Slideshow Images Don't Dissolve

Hi guys, I'm running g2.3. My gallery homepage is www.centerfoldnextdoor.com/gallery2. The images in the fullscreen slideshow used to dissolve from one to the next, but now the transition is a hard cut. I've tried changing the value of transition but that doesn't seem to affect it. I also tried dumping the template cache. No change. I have Gallery Remote installed on my PC and I added the recommended text string to the Java Control Panel to use Open GL. Any ideas?
