I first installed Gallery3 beta 3, and found that I couldn't drag and drop any items at all under "Organize Album". This didn't work in Firefox 3.5.5 or Internet Explorer 7. I just decided to get the latest development tarball (e300ede), and now it works, but for the first 25 items only. This happens both at the top level album and in my sub-albums. To be more accurate, I can drag items 1-25, and drop them anywhere. But items 26 and higher cannot be dragged. This happens in both Firefox 3.5.5 and Internet Explorer 7. I imported my albums from Gallery2, so maybe that has something to do with it. Any ideas? Thanks in advance. Dogberry |

Upgrade to an experimental version.
FAQ: How do I upgrade?

Thanks, Dave. I just got the latest experimental version - 95ffb39 - but that didn't help. Does this mean you might have some inkling of what's wrong?
Thanks!

Probably the same problem as I encountered. http://gallery.menalto.com/node/91958 There is no bug. You cannot mark pictures by clicking on them and using CTRL (You can do it for the 25 first, but not the rest.) . You have to click somewhere to make a rectangle and with this mark the pictures you want to move. I do not know exactly how to describe it. Does this picture help http://bildr.no/view/521710?

You can use Ctrl click to select multi items and move or you can 'rubber band' a group of items as well.

Thanks janao and Dave, I was able to move items 26 and higher by selecting them with the rubber band. However, holding ctrl and clicking them didn't work (only could select 1-25 that way). Not a big deal for me, since there's a workaround, but I'd say it is definitely a bug. Yes, I used rearrange in G2 before importing to G3.

Please file a bug report.
Personally I like the rearrange in G2 better.
