Hi,
I 've just installed Gallery3 beta 3 on my server and added 3 albums. I'd like to re-arrange the photos or move one album to the front but I can't do it, seems like drag and drop doesn't work. Is it only me or is it a know issue that will be addressed later?
I should mention that I'm running it on Windows Server 2008 R2 x64. I know it is not supported and most likely won't be, but I thought someone might give me a hint.
I still haven't installed imagemagick and I know there will be issues with that as well (could my issue be related to missing imagemagick?), but I hope I can get over that hurdle soon with some help. Other than that , it seems to work fine as far as I can tell.
Here is the link to my Gallery (just to see how it works on Windows): http://martan.myphotos.cc/gallery3/index.php/

I'm running it on this system:
# Apache/2.2.12 (Win32) DAV/2 mod_ssl/2.2.12 OpenSSL/0.9.8k mod_autoindex_color
# PHP/5.3.0 mod_perl/2.0.4 Perl/v5.10.0
# MySQL: 5.1.37

Thanks in advance for any help, I understand Windows is not something you guys want to spend your time and energy on.

If you are not using the latest experimental version please upgrade to the experimental version as directed in this:
FAQ: How do I upgrade?

Some work has been done on the rearrange module.
It is easier to 'rubber band' or Ctrl click the items you and to select and then move them about.

Thanks for reply Dave, did you have in mind the latest development source? I found this version there: gallery3-670629f
Do you think there also something I can do about getting imagemagick to be recognized by Gallery ?
Tom.

Well, I did upgrade to Gallery 3.0 git (pre-RC1) and now I can move pictures and albums just fine, drag and drop work great, thank you very much for the tip.
Now I just need Gallery to activate ImageMagick. I've installed it on my server and tested it, it works. But the Gallery doesn't seem to recognize it and I don't know what to adjust. I went to Advanced settings and gave it the path manually, in my case C:\Program Files (x86)\ImageMagick-6.5.7-Q16 but all that did was de-activate GD and ImageMagick is still not recognized. Is there a quick fix to that? Perhaps tweaking some configuration file?

One issue at a time.

Should I add another post for that? Is that what you mean? I'm sorry, I don't mean to by pushy or anything like that, I guess there are rules on this forum I don't know about, I haven't been here for long time.
I'm assuming it shouldn't be hard to do what I need, since both applications work just fine, just communication between them is missing. But I might be wrong...

Glad the organize works now.

I would assume the IM issue is a windows issue with spaces in the path name. Search the forums for a clue, I am sure I have seen somebody post a answer for windows users.

I will do that, thanks again for your help. I'll search over the weekend, if I can't find anything I guess I'll add another post with that issue. Hopefully I won't get kicked out for annoying you guys with windows requests :-)
