Hi All, I gave had G2 running for most of a year and no problems. Recently I was married and had the pictures professionally taken, and now I am trying to upload those using gallery remote or the built in file up load. I purchased a copyright release so I own them free and clear. They all upload fine, but the generated thumbnails look like a torn half sheet of paper. When I click the thumbnail the 640x480 pic looks the same, but when I click that I get the full screen picture that looks fine. In the info below the picture it says "IPTC: Copyright Notice © Phototographer Name Resolution Unit Inch X Resolution 300 dots per ResolutionUnit Y Resolution 300 dots per ResolutionUnit" I have attached what the thumbnail looks like. I can upload pictures from my camera and they view and thumbnail great. I know the pictures were edited on a MAC. What do I need to do to get them to work in Gallery? Thanks!

We need more information. Post your system information and a link to phpinfo. This link explains how:

I was able to fix it. I deleted and re-installed NetPBM and ImageMagick.
It would be handy for the information and version info to be on a menu under the admin section of Gallery, so novice users could just navigate to a menu where it would give them all of the system info.
Thanks for the help

Site Admin > Maintenance (see my previous link)
In G3 it's Admin > Dashboard and that info is on the right sidebar by default.

G3 is still in Beta testing, we're getting close to an RC.
It's not just an upgrade to G2, it's a new, different product. Ultimately does the same, but works completely differently. There are not a lot of themes or modules for it yet. If you're simply uploading and displaying photos, G3 can be a drop in replacement. If you're doing a lot of other complex stuff, you may want to wait for more functionality to be written.
Install it and test it to see what it can and can't do yet.

Oh and if you do, forget the B3 release and just go straight for the latest experimental code. This link will explain how to get that:
