XMP tags

Hi,

gallery3 does not seem to get tags from XMP but rather from IPTC.
This causes issues with IPTC which have utf-8 encoded characters but still some application handles this very well (displaying é for example).
Gallery instead cut the word ( Québec => Qu ) and shows it like that in the tags on the webpage.

I know IPTC should not have utf-8 but in that case could not gallery3 read XMP which in all case will provide more "flexibility" ?

No, had the same poblem with a greek city named "v" afterwards, just wondered where this v came from. Maybe its better to open a ticket at git.
