Password recovery

How can I reset the admin password?
This is a new install and I did not get a chance to test emails so I can't use forgot password. I tried to clear the password in the MYSQL admin account but I guess you can't have a blank password because I can't logon as admin. I was hoping to logon with a blank password and reset.

Any ideas?

Update: Since this was a new install I just removed the folder gallery3,reinstalled then saved my password for future reference.
