Admin Dashboard is empty

I installed RC1 of Gallery last weekend. When playing around at the Admin pages I happened to remove ALL the items at the dashboard. Is there a way to 'reset' the dashboard so the items which were there originally will return?

Sounds like your having problems with either javascript or maybe a corrupt install.

Try a new, fresh install.

Try a different browser.

Make sure you're using the latest code from github:
http://github.com/gallery/gallery3/zipball/master

If your problems persist, provide more information, phpinfo, Apache version, etc.

I did a clean install and I also used the latest code from github. It happens in Firefox 3.6, Chrome 4 and IE8

PHP Info : http://foto.familiezandbergen.net/info.php

Same problem!

What was your "playing around"?

I thought I removed them all, but when I did a clean install I removed JUST ONE widget..and the all disappeared. It has probably something to do with my other issue -> http://gallery.menalto.com/node/95272

I'm logged in there now and I'm seeing the same thing. I can only think that something is corrupt, either a file or something in the database during the install.

You're missing the most important block, the Dashboard Content block, which as far as I can tell, can't be removed, even from playing around.

I can't see any thing wrong with the javascript or css when comparing to my install. I also don't know where those settings are stored. I'm trying to find them in my database right now.

Ah, found it. And fixed it by copying the values from my install to your install in the Advanced Settings.

I suspect you were doing more than "playing around" in the dashboard. I suspect you were "playing around" in the advanced settings, editing settings and accidentally removed the block adder block because magically everything works just fine now :)

Hmm..didn't changed anything at the advanced settings on purpose...I also did a 'clean' install (removed the dbase, php files) and the problem still existed.....but anyhow..thanks for fixing the problem!

If it does popup again or you can figure out how you duplicate it, please let us know so we can figure out if it's a bug or something else odd.

I have the same problem here. My dashboard is empty too.
My gallery is 3.0.1

I didn’t played around with the advanced settings.

I had the translate panel open and dragged the news block from the sidebar to the center. That duplicated the photostream block. One was in the center and one was in the sidebar. I deleted the one in the sidebar and my Dashboard Content block was gone.

Can someone please post how his advanced settings looks like? This is a screenshot of my settings:

center blocks:
a:3:{i:0;a:2:{i:0;s:7:"gallery";i:1;s:7:"welcome";}i:1;a:2:{i:0;s:7:"gallery";i:1;s:15:"upgrade_checker";}i:2;a:2:{i:0;s:7:"gallery";i:1;s:12:"photo_stream";}}

Ok, this is a bug, definitely.

I just deleted the Welcome block and that turned the Dashboard Content block into a Photostream.

:-(

Add the Gallery Statistics block, drag it to another position and reload the page.

The Dashboard Content block is a Photostream.

Ah, you're right. It's actually happening any time I move any blocks on the page.

I'll create a ticket for it.

I can't reproduce this with Chrome 11, FF 3.6, IE8, or Safari 5 on Windows Vista. :-/

Can you guys give me before/after snapshots of sidebar_blocks and center_blocks when this happens? That'll help.
