Gallery & DCForum Integration

I like the way DCForums threaded/linear layout. I've been using that board for years. Someone made a gallery script for that forum but its horrible, lacking documentation and not very configurable. (hard coded fields and values).. I LOVE this gallery. Anyone make an attempt at integration between the two? I was thinking about attempting it, however, i dont want to reinvent the wheel.
